Looking for health information? Helpful and healthful information is now conveniently available to Southwest General Health Center's patients and visitors at the new Health Information Resource Center (HIRC).
The goal of the HIRC is to make health information easily available, at no charge. The Center features:
- Books
- Pamphlets
- Videos
- Access to medically evaluated Internet health sites
- Other information related to health, wellness and Southwest General itself.
The Center is overseen by a medical librarian and staffed by trained volunteers who will help you find the information you are seeking.
Look for the HIRC in the hospital's main lobby. Please note that hours vary. For more information, call 440-816-5050.

For information to better understand a health-related issue, you can email the librarian. The service is free, and no appointment, insurance or referral is necessary. All requests are kept completely confidential.
