Although Southwest General strives to provide quality, compassionate care, occasionally the expectations of a patient, and/or the patient's family members, may not be met. When this happens, the patient and his or her family members are encouraged to speak directly to the manager of the department from which they received service, as this individual is responsible for the daily operation of the department. Additionally, since patient satisfaction is the manager’s top priority, any concern, question or compliment is valuable.
If a patient and his or her family are unsure who to contact about a concern or question, or if previous attempts to resolve an issue were unsatisfactory, Southwest General's patient representative is an additional resource. To contact the patient representative, please call 400-816-5354.
While hospital management is committed to patient satisfaction and will make every effort to address your concern, you also may contact the Ohio Department of Health Hotline at 1-800-342-0553, or Ohio Department Complaint Unit, 246 N. High Street 2nd Floor, Columbus, OH 43215.
If your concern cannot be resolved by hospital management, you may contact the Joint Commission Office of Quality Monitoring at 1-800-994-6610, or via email at complaint@jointcommission.org.
