The Pediatric International Trauma Life Support (PITLS) course is designed to provide EMS providers with the skills necessary to recognize mechanisms of injury, assess, perform critical interventions, package, and transport the pediatric trauma patient. Even though this course is designed for the prehospital setting, it may also be useful for nurses and other in-hospital practitioners as well. This is a one day course that includes lectures as well as hands-on skill stations.
