Details:
Sepsis is a serious condition in which the body responds improperly to an infection. Sepsis happens when an infection you already have triggers a chain reaction throughout your body. Sepsis may progress to septic shock, which can damage the lungs, kidneys, liver and other organs. When the damage is severe, it can lead to death. Join Jenny Arman, DO, an Emergency Medicine Physician on the Medical Staff at Southwest General, as she discusses sepsis. Learn what sepsis is, how you get it, what the signs and symptoms are, and who is at risk.
