Opened in 1985, the Addiction Services at Oakview Behavioral Health Services in Middleburg Heights, stresses its highly successful back-to-basics approach in helping patients recover from substance abuse in an outpatient setting.
Fully accredited by Joint Commission and licensed as an addiction treatment center by the state of Ohio, Addiction Services provides an abstinence-based form of treatment that relies on the 12-step model of recovery and the educational/group therapy model of treatment. This intensely focused level of care for adults involves counseling and educational activities from three to five hours a day, with both morning and evening sessions and weekly aftercare (adults only).
The successful outcomes achieved are the result of our skilled clinical team and the rapport they are able to achieve with their patients and families. This team is comprised of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists and counselors, and interacts with both the patient and family members to achieve successful outcomes. Family involvement is extremely important and expected.
Family involvement is a major component of successful recovery as addiction is a family disease. Oakview Behavioral Health Services offers educational and group sessions addressing issues such as:
