Our bodies are designed to recover from minor wounds and injuries, but certain damages require more involved treatment to heal. At Southwest General Health Center, we want to make sure our patients have the special care they need with wounds that are slow to heal or resistant to conventional treatment.
The Wound Care Center provides a thorough and comprehensive outpatient program that features the latest in specialized approaches to wound care. The Center includes a team of highly experienced clinical professionals, including skilled physicians and certified wound care nurses who focus on each patient’s individual needs and deliver evidence-based care in a professional and compassionate manner.
If left untreated, non-healing or chronic wounds can result in in a variety of health risks, including loss of limbs and life-threatening conditions, making effective treatment critical. Members of the Wound Care Center team are continuously applying advances in wound management to help our patients heal quickly and without complications. A customized plan of care is created for each patient, using best practice treatments to promote healing, reduce the risk of recurrence and, when possible, help improve the patient’s quality of life.
The Wound Care Center is located on the second floor of Building D on Southwest General’s Main Campus.
Wound Care Center hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
