Ways to Help

Community Residents Making a Difference

At Southwest General, we are continually grateful for numerous members of our community who continue to help us make a difference through donations, volunteer work, and other forms of support. We could not do it without their generous and selfless support. If you have the time or the resources, we graciously ask for any help you can provide to help us help others as.

Volunteering

Our volunteers help us provide a breadth of needed and essential healthcare services that, without their help, would be impossible to provide. Thanks to their efforts, we can offer more services to meet the growing needs of our community. Our volunteers make this possible.

Areas where we need volunteers include:

  • Patient care
  • Greeting and welcoming visitors
  • Office functions
  • Community outreach

Donations and Wish List

The donations we receive from our community truly do help make a difference. Without their generosity to help offset the cost of care and to maintain our facilities, we would find it increasingly difficult to provide the level of medical care we presently do and to accommodate future needs.

If you would like to make a donation, here are some of the areas and funds at Southwest General that would benefit from your support:

  • The Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice. Our onsite residential hospice facility for those needing extra care
  • Community Care Fund in Memory of Dennis C. Simmerman Hospice. To help those lacking the financial resources for Hospice care
  • Nurse Education Fund. For continuing nurse education for the latest in healthcare
  • General Fund. For the overall needs of our healthcare services
  • Giving Methods. Donations, Employer Matching Gift Programs, Memorials and Estate Giving
  • Wish List. For those who want to help our hospital by purchasing something we’ve noted on our wishlist

If you have any questions about making a donation to Southwest General Health Center please call 440-816-5000.
