The Mental Health Services at Southwest General's
Oakview Behavioral Health Services, in Middleburg Heights, involve therapeutic activities designed to assist
in developing self-awareness, self-acceptance and personal responsibility.
We employ a variety of treatment methods to help you or your loved one
achieve relief from the sufferings associated with mental health disorders
and chemical addiction.
Mental Health Services offers:
Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit
- 20-bed unit located on the campus of Southwest General in Middleburg Heights
- Variety of treatment modalities, including individual, group, family conferences,
diagnostic and evaluation services, educational programs, psychopharmacology
and active therapy.
Adult Outpatient Mental Health Programs (aged 18+)

Partial Hospitalization - for patients making the transition out of the hospital and those needing
intensive treatment but not requiring care. Meets five days per week using
the modified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) approach.

Intensive Outpatient - modified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is used in group therapy
sessions three times per week to deal with skill development to reduce
stress, anxiety and depression. Morning and evening programs available.
Adolescent Outpatient Mental Health Program
- We offer short-term treatment and support for adolescents experiencing
significant mental health and behavior issues using a Dialectical Behavior
Therapy-informed approach along with a strong family component.
